Article repository password

The Bender article is in the article repository (backup site), which is where all the scanned-in articles will be.  You need to use the username and password that I sent you by email to gain access to those articles.

Only two articles this week

Since we have so many smaller readings this week, and since Erika can't be there on Tuesday, we only need to read two articles this week: the Pizer one that Dave has posted and the Bender one that's already in the wiki. 

Backup site

As you all must have noticed, the PBworks site was down all weekend, and you couldn't get to the readings.

Thurschwell piece now available

The Thurschwell essay essay on "In the Cage" is now available in our course wiki.

Mesmerism

Another text that involves mesmerism (if you're interested) is Jack London's "Planchette."

The articles for our class up through March are now available on our wiki: http://engl573.pbworks.com . I've changed the table format a bit by removing the third column so that the "article expert" names appear right below the article title.
